About Our Studio
From Jeanne Thornton, owner of Yoga Oasis... I'd love to tell you a little about our studio--who we are and what we do--because I know that we have something wonderful to offer you. Arriving at Yoga Oasis, a serene place of retreat and renewal, is like coming home; an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply and be present. Our students tell us, time and again, how much they love the peaceful calm, the beauty of the view to the mountains and open sky, and the intimacy of a space dedicated to the practice of yoga and wellness. We offer a variety of classes professionally addressing your wellness needs at all levels of your being: physical, mental and spiritual. Whether you are seeking relief from the stresses of everyday living, are healing your body or are simply feeling the need to gently renew your spirit, our compassionate approach to the ancient practice of yoga offers you time and space in which to reconnect with yourself, to be present in the moment and to remember that you are a spiritual being having this very human experience we call Life. Coming onto your yoga mat connects you to that remembering. Our vision is to offer our neighboring community a peaceful setting in which to explore and practice healing and wellness in many forms: yoga, meditation, a variety of fun and educational workshops, and events for families and children. We also offer private sessions for those seeking one-on-one instruction. Our studio space is available for rent to individuals or groups offering events that promote wellness and community. Our location offers a wonderful blend of superb commute convenience, ample free parking and a feeling of spaciousness within the city as we enjoy our close proximity to Little's Creek Park, the Highline Canal Trail and a vast expanse of open land. Come visit us soon! We welcome the opportunity to support you on your journey through Life! Namaste', Jeanne Thornton & the Yoga Oasis staff
A testimonial from one of our students... " I had been a yoga student for a long time (36 years) and had been looking for a new class. My list of "must haves" had grown fairly long: I was looking for experienced teachers who taught with attention to detail, some breath work and meditation and a studio which offered access to other interesting classes, workshops and retreats. At Yoga Oasis, I found just what I was looking for, and more: a lovely mountain view from large windows in a beautiful space!" Faye Henthorn
"In the flow of breath and movement, yoga coaxes us from the confines of the known, across the silent threshold... and into the vastness." Danna Faulds Kripalu Yoga poet & teacher It's your journey...Renew your Self along the way.
